INSTALLATION/INTERVENTION: STEPHANIE TREINEN

This week I focused on trying to put my abstract ideas take a more concrete form. My latest research got me thinking about inner space and inner realities. In reading about the Psychedelic movement, I drew similarities between the motives of many of the participants were in search of being "cosmonauts" in search of their inner space and landscapes. It is about freeing the inside and allowing inner realities and outer realities to meet. It is also a way to visually show an alternative to our perceptions about the world and ourselves both visually and psychologically.
