Thesis Exploration 2: Book (Tiimo)

Post-post-modern culture is obsessed with itself. Blogs, reality TV, user friendliness, interactivity are all examples. Contemporary graphic design is having an identity crisis and as a result it tries to define itself as it designs itself.

So this week I attempted to archive contemporary design as it was being produced in a way that was inefficient and asks to be deconstructed. I pulled images from popular creative websites and laid them out in a folded stitched book. Upon cutting the binding a new layer of work is revealed and the structure/categorization becomes much less important than the individual works.

Most of the imagery was found or reconstructed, but some posters were completely original.
